Aradhita Parasrampuria, Algae BioEmbellishments , 2022
Algae and Jelly Fish protein

The aim of this project is to create closed-looped, carbon neutral, iridescent, and interactive embellishments systems by utilizing algae and regenerated cellulose derived from textile waste. The renewable biomaterial doesn’t just substitute plastics but creates new possibilities for design and user experience while remaining economical and eliminating waste. With the goal of establishing a circular system of biodegradable material products, Aradhita creates scientific, eco-friendly, ethical, and affordable textiles to help replace toxic petroleum-based products. She works primarily with organisms such as Kelp, Escherichia coli, and Mycelium. (Accessed from her website https://aradhitaparasrampuria.net/ )
