In today’s general degradation of the natural environment, we can recognize the anthropocentric concept that considers man to be the ruler of nature, with the consequences of overexploitation of natural resources and the birth of important modern environmental problems, that often end up in huge disasters, such as the recent floods in the region of Thessaly. A successful transition from the current way of life to more sustainable models, requires a radical change in individual and social values. Culture can play a vital role in this transition because it has the ability to shape values, beliefs and behaviors. In the 9th festival we are concerned with questions such as: Where does nature stop and man begins? How does the artist stand in front of the landscape, defined by his own experiences and by the influence of the era he/she is in?
