"Desert" shows a so-called "Devil's Stone", a limestone cliff located on the Bistrita River in Romania. Legend has it that the stone changes its location. The only explanation would be an optical illusion caused by the increase or decrease of the water flow, which gives the impression that the rock is always in a different place. To ward off evil spirits, the people place a cross on top of it. Here the water is gone. Is it the work of the devil?
